Simple Dieting Tips To Eliminate Food Cravings
When trying to maintain a healthy diet, complete with regular exercise, it may be possible to allow all foods in your diet within moderation. Even when on a program, you may find yourself battling evil cravings for sweets or other foods that seem to take on a life of their own.
What makes us crave specific foods? According to research, people are more prone to binge after being restricted from certain foods. This may be partly (or even completely) psychological, since we often want what we are told we can’t have. Whether your cravings are due to a low mood, or a restricted diet, it is difficult to prevent. Here’s a list of five ways you can stop food cravings.
Hydration is key. Often the hunger feeling is our body telling us we need to drink more water. Good, old fashioned H20 also acts as an appetite suppressant without the side effects. It keeps the stomach full and satisfied, while fending off those pesky food cravings.
When feeling a craving come on, wait a few minutes before giving in. Often cravings won’t last very long, and doing something as simple as washing the dishes or walking the dog will give your body time for the craving to pass. With a little time, often you don’t have to anything else.
If you have certain cravings, avoid trigger foods. Your body will crave what you eat, so by changing what you eat you can make old cravings diminish. Certain foods, such as refined sugars, have an addictive property.

When training your body to adapt to no trigger foods, keep in mind that the first days may be difficult. While it may not be possible to completely get rid of cravings for certain foods, avoiding the culprits may help you crave them less often.
When the urge for a certain food hits, opt for a healthy snack. Ignoring your cravings, or trying to wash it down with a glass of water may not always work. Instead, drink a large glass of water and eat about 1 ½ ounces of unsalted nuts/seeds to satiate your craving.
An occasional indulgence doesn’t hurt. Allow yourself to splurge on occasion. This is a great strategy for many people. The thing you want to keep in mind is portion control. This means that if you have an urge for chocolate, keep the portions minimal, and go for high quality chocolate. High cocoa content, with at least 70% cocoa, is even believed to be good for you, with disease fighting antioxidants important for your health.

You mean there is really a diet out there I haven't tried!!!
I couldn't agree more with you! A few minutes ago I read an interview of that dude who invented the Factor 5 diet and he basically said that bananas are a waste because they only contain of sugar and have no fiber at all. What the heck?? Do people seriously get fat because of eating bananas? Yeah sure.
Anyway, I also get mad when I see those “healthy” diets that work like magic for everywone. No wonder why we're all so messed up and don't know how to eat properly!!

Long Term Weight Loss Requires Healthy Diet Plan:
when I was pregnant with my first I craved things that were banana flavoured, but not bananas. This meant banana paddlepops and milkshakes, and on more than one occasion my wonderful husband humoured me and set out at night to fullfill my request for a banana paddlepop.

"Raw vegetable sprouts…"
"Eating broccoli sprouts during pregnancy may provide your kids with
life-long protection against cardiovascular disease, according to a research
team led by Bernhard Juurlink at the University of Saskatchewan."
"Alcohol"
"Some studies go as far as to indicate that light to moderate drinking may actually improve the chance of successful pregnancies. A 1993 study published in the "American Journal of Epidemiology" by Ruth Little and Clarence Weinberg concluded, for example, that there were fewer stillbirths and fewer losses of fetus due to early labor among women who consumed a moderate level of alcohol. That some alcohol can be protective against preterm birth is also supported by Dr. Martha Direnfeld of Haifa University who points out that when used properly, alcohol is known to stop unwanted uterine contractions, and thus has "saved many pregnancies that might otherwise have spontaneously aborted." More than this, Dr. Robert Sokol of the National Institute on Alcohol Abuse in Detroit has shown that it is light drinkers and not abstainers who have the best chance of having a baby of optimal birth weight and in their book "Alcohol and the Fetus" and Doctors Henry Rosset and Lynn Wiener have presented data that shows that children of moderate drinkers tend to score highest on developmental tests at the age of 18 months."
"Herbal teas"
"Generally speaking, any herb which is considered fine for food use is presumed to be safe for teas as well. Look on packaging labels for contents that may normally be part of your diet (such as mint, lemon or orange extracts). All herbal preparations which are bought as tea bags from the supermarket are thought to be safe for use in pregnancy. You can also buy herbal tea blends specifically made for drinking when you are pregnant. "

suggest how i should start for weight loss. diet plan and exercise
Your body will still go into starvation mode. Don't do the cucumber diet.
Losing fat will take 3 things, to be ideal:
1) A properly designed diet (this is 80% of it). Key words are "properly designed".
2) Lifting weights (this is 10-15% of it)
3) Cardio (this is 5-10% of it)
Your "diet" you listed above has these things wrong with it:
Not enough protein.
Not enough healthy fats.
Too many carbs in relation to your protein/fat intake.
It also looks to be too low in calories.
At 140-145 lbs you should be eating 1400 calories per day. 600 calories from protein. The other 800 calories from carbs and fats as you prefer. OR, you could do a low carb diet:
Still 1400 calories
Still eat 600 calories from protein.
Eat 600 calories from fat.
Eat 200 calories from carbs.
Your cardio seems fine. Don't do those situps. They are worthless. Concentrate on your diet to show your abs. As "they" say, your abs are built in the kitchen.
Development of the CUPS diet™
Most diets like the Zone Diet, South Beach Diet, Atkins Diet, Sonoma Diet, Weight Watchers, 3-day diets, etc. are based on restricting your diet by counting, sorting, measuring or calculating an assortment of different variables – calories, fat grams, carbohydrates, etc. Others are based on limiting calories consumed by selling you pre-packaged meals.
In December of 2003, after trying to lose weight using a variety of diet approaches, I began developing an easier way to achieve my own weight loss. Knowing that successful long-term weight loss comes down to burning more calories than you consume, I wanted to create a way of monitoring those calories that allowed me to continue eating the foods I liked in reasonable proportions without having to measure, calculate and count everything I ate. I wanted to develop a diet that allowed me to:
1) Eat the foods I wanted to eat. 2) Select foods without the need to read the back of every package. 3)Estimate reasonable portions without pulling out a scale or entering every detail into a computer program. 4) Lose weight at a reasonable, sustainable, healthy rate.
The key? Portion control. I needed a simple way to track what I was eating on a daily basis. In my previous attempts at weight loss, I commonly used measurement units of ¼, ½, ¾ and 1 cup to determine portion sizes. I considered the possibility of basing what I would eat simply on its volume, in cups.
This concept became the basis the CUPS diet™ ……..and it worked!
This new weight loss diet plan approaches weight loss in a more practical way by encouraging a healthy and consistent rate of weight loss (between 1 and 2 pounds a week). *
With the CUPS diet™ people feel satisfied and enjoy what they are eating while losing weight. Hunger and cravings are well managed with this plan. On average, people become more aware of appropriate portion sizes and begin to experience an increase in energy level and less fatigue when combining diet and exercise.
* The actual amount you will lose is influenced by many factors: types of food eaten, genetics and your level of physical activity.

I know somebody who wanted to eat chalk when she was pregnant.
Personally I can't look at food when I am pregnant. I have to force myself to eat and the only thing I can keep down is toasted whole wheat bread and water if sipped slowly.
I can't imagine actually craving something.
when I was pregnant with my first I craved things that were banana flavoured, but not bananas. This meant banana paddlepops and milkshakes, and on more than one occasion my wonderful husband humoured me and set out at night to fullfill my request for a banana paddlepop.
i sent my hubby out at 3 am for grape tomatoes once.

Herbalife Diet critique, long-term diet plan? Scam or Legit?: By Christopher M. Castillo Herbalife Diet critique..
How to Avoid Cravings –
I've known a few people who have been sucessful on low-carb diets. My husband has kept off 100 pounds so far. 3 years already.
The guy who owns the health food store lost over 100 pounds 5 years ago on Atkins.
People who slam low-carb diets always promote lies about it. I don't even know where they get it. They say that you can't eat fruits or vegetables or that you will have kidney failure.
For Pete's sake, READ the books and judge for yourself. I never heard about kimkins, but Atkins, South Beach, and a couple of others are similar.
They promote high-protein, low-carb lifestyles. With Atkins, the idea is to take the first 2 weeks to "shock" your body into ketosis (which is a process where your body doesn't get insulin from the sugar in your foods, but stored in your fat cells). Once you've done that, you can eat fruit. You are supposed to eat vegetables throughout the entire thing. It's not meant to be a diet, but a lifestyle change that let's you choose foods based on what your body can handle. You start out eating low-glycemic food (i.e. spinach, not corn) that don't screw around with your blood sugar, which in turn, allows your body to metabolize the sugar better so it doesn't turn into fat.
