I feel that online provides better advice and workouts. My reasoning behind this is because there is so much more information on the internet and usually a site or book is a collaboration of the best trainers in the whole world.
Just like some of the great products that you recommend on your site, I feel the overall bang for your buck is found online. You make a point that if you do not have will power it is better to go in person. I’d like to contest this, because even if you have to go to a meeting, the meetings are scheduled and optional because working out is an extracurricular activity.
